The Flagler Room in Flagler College was the place where ladies gathered and mingled back when it was The Ponce Hotel. These ladies were separated from the men to mingle on their own, doing "ladylike" things, like drink tea and sew. While the men were across the hall, smoking cigars and drinking liquor. Today the room is the place where important events and parties happen, while also serving as a historical site where tourists can go to take a trip back in time. I wanted to commemorate the women in general, who had made Flagler apart of their lives by either visiting the hotel back in 1888, or presently while going to Flagler college. I used photos of women, and gave them wigs from different time periods to portray a passage of time. By printing these photos out life size, these women occupy real space in their two-dimensional reality, with three-dimensional accessories to tie them to our three-dimensional world.
