30 Minute Indoor Installation
This installation was inspired by fantasy and fairytales. Specifically the tooth fairy and it's history. To me, many of the fairy tales like the tooth fairy, are full of illusions. Fairies flying, sneaking into your room, stealing your tooth, and leaving a gift behind seems like a bunch of frills to me which is why I was driven to make this piece. This story made me wonder why the fairies needed teeth so bad, and made me question what made them special. Putting a tooth on a pedastal emphasized this for me, and floating pillows above it added the optical illusion aspect that I needed.
